Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has publicly declared that he is different from his other political counterparts in Nigeria and has also explained why.
The Rivers State governor claims that he significantly stands apart from his peers because he has kept to his words, whereas many of them have broken their pledges.
Wike made this statement on Tuesday while inaugurating the Elele Internal Roads in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He emphasized that he had always completed whatever project he had begun construction on after making a promise about it.
According to Wike, the completion of the internal roadways in the hamlet of Elele is evidence that a promise made to the populace was kept.
The governor mentioned that the Elele project was started five and a half months ago with the promise that it would be inaugurated before he left office.
He claimed that with only six days left in his term, he is in the Elele community to officially launch the project as a promise made and kept.
Governor Wike expressed his satisfaction at seeing the people of Rivers exhibit their faith in him and his administration.
Governor Wike also expressed his gratitude to the citizens of Elele and, by extension, the entire Ikwerre Local Government Area for their support during the election, which helped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in Rivers State achieve an amazing victory.
