Prior to its Special Convention for Presidential Primary, the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) has reduced the number of presidential aspirants to five.Just In: APC Governors reduce presidential aspirants to five

The governors convened Monday night after an earlier meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari and a press briefing, however it is unclear when the decision was reached.

Members of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) National Working Committee were present at the Monday night meeting (NWC).

The APC’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, was not present at the meeting, but the governors traveled to his house in Abuja after the meeting with the other members of the NWC at around 9:30 p.m.

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, the PGF’s chairman, announced the selection of five governors to Channels Television on Tuesday morning.

The candidates are all from Southern Nigeria, and their names are as follows:

Bola Tinubu
Rotimi Amaechi
Yemi Osinbajo
Dave Umahi
Kayode Fayemi
