NDLEA laments on mkpulumiri in Rivers state, saying there has been a significant increase in the use of the illicit drug.
According to the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency in Rivers State, usage of methamphetamine, sometimes known as “ice” or “mkpulumiri,” has increased in the state.
NDLEA authorities began observing the increasing usage during the end of the Covid-19 lockdown, the agency’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Ogbumgbada confirmed.
However, he stated that the agency is yet to find a laboratory in Rivers State that produces such a medicine.
Mr. Ogbumgbada, who claims the narcotic is more potent than cocaine, also claims that methamphetamine is distributed in practically every part of the state.
