The Council Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers state – Hon. Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu has vowed that his administration will do everything possible to improve the educational sector in the LGA.
The Council Boss made the vow on Friday while celebrating Nigeria’s Independence Day at the LGA Secretariat in Okoloma-Afam.
Hon. Okechukwu celebrated the event in a grand style with the people of Oyigbo and featured the presentation of the address of President Muhammadu Buhari, match past by schools and Para-Military agencies.
While briefing newsmen after the event, he vowed to remain committed to the course of improving the educational sector of the LGA and the overall welfare of the people of Oyigbo.
The Council Chairman urged the people of Oyigbo to collectively support the government at the local, state and federal level in order to achieve the development we desire.
He further expressed optimism that Nigeria will surely recover from the challenges facing her.
