Some residents of Port Harcourt are complaining of random deductions on their prepaid meters by the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, PHEDC. PH residents raise concerns over random deductions on prepaid meters

These residents claim the deductions were made as a result of metre payment defaults, according to Nigeria Info.

Some allege that up to 75% of deductions were made from their prepaid customer accounts, and that receipt of payment demonstrates that the debt was serviced.

Meanwhile, PHEDC is yet to issue a statement on the matter.
