The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Emeka Nwonyi Polycarp, has encouraged the general public to record and report any incident or misconduct by police officers to his desk.
The police commissioner advised that if anyone observes a police officer engage in wrongdoing in Rivers State, they should ensure to document their actions as evidence.
Polycarp made this statement during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday.
The Rivers CP emphasized that the police command will not tolerate misconduct from any officer, regardless of their rank.
Furthermore, the commissioner pledged to continue educating officers on maintaining professionalism in their duties and eliminating misconduct.
In his words;
“If you see any police officer doing wrong in Rivers State, make sure to record what they are doing as evidence and bring it to my Desk.”

In a related development, the state police command revealed that it has identified and apprehended the officers involved in the recent assault of a woman, as shown in a viral video on social media.
The command invites the woman in the video to visit the State Headquarters to seek justice.
