Rivers State ministry of physical planning and urban development has resealed the People’s Democratic Party – PDP presidential campaign office in GRA, Port Harcourt.Rivers government seals PDP presidential campaign office again

Hitvibz understands that a caution tape was used to barricade the gate of the campaign office while seals were placed at the gate and walls of the fence.

Recall that the Atiku/Okwa campaign office at No 32 Onne Street in GRA, Port Harcourt was reportedly sealed in the early hours of Friday 23rd December 2022 by officials of the Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development and Physical Planning.

According to the ministry, the office was shut down because it had not complied with the state executive orders 21 and 22. The seal and warning tape, though, were later taken off by an unidentified person.

Hitvibz gathered that the state’s Executive Order 22 restricted the location of campaign offices in residential areas, thus the government sought a court order to have the facility sealed for violating the Order in a move to ensure that the law was upheld.

Nyesom Wike, the governor of the state, and Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, have been engaged in a prolonged disagreement about the party’s national chairman continuing to serve in that capacity.

There hasn’t been any love lost between the two since the party’s national convention, where Atiku defeated Wike to win the nomination for president. Wike has remained in the party and set conditions for a reunification.
