The Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board has issued a query to the Head Teacher of Community Primary School, Mba, in Etche Local Government Area, following reports that the school has been closed for four years.

Recall Hitvibz‘ publication last week, where absence of teachers has stopped academic activities for four years, in Community Primary School, Mba, in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers state.

Well, a letter signed by the Director of Administration and Supplies, Karibi George, and dated October 28, said the Head Teacher failed to keep the school functioning.

It said the Head Teacher did not tell the UBE board in writing that he was having challenges running the school, which is a breach of the Public Service Rules 2008.

The letter asked the Head Teacher to explain in writing within 48 hours of receipt of the query why disciplinary action should not be taken against him.
