Historic club for Kazakhstan, Ertis FK, don strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the season after dem complete the signings of Nigerian players Samuel Opeh and Samson Iyede.
The five-time Kazakhstan champions announce the arrival of the experienced duo as dem continue efforts to make the team stronger following their recent return to competitive football, na weytin Hitvibz dey yan be dat.
Samuel Opeh Bring International Experience Come Ertis Defence
Opeh join Ertis after an impressive football journey across different leagues for Europe and Asia.
The 27-year-old central defender start him professional career with Warri Wolves for Nigeria before he move abroad in search of fresh opportunities.
For the course of him career, Opeh don play for clubs like Aktepa FC and Lokomotiv Tashkent for Uzbekistan, KF Laçi for Albania, and FC Malisheva for Kosovo Premier League.
One of him biggest achievements come in 2023 when he help Lokomotiv Tashkent win the Uzbekistan Pro League title and secure promotion to the country’s top division.
Opeh also get international recognition earlier for him career after he receive invitation to Nigeria U17 national team.
Samson Iyede Add More Firepower to Ertis Attack
Ertis FK also strengthen their attacking department with the signing of striker Iyede.
The 28-year-old forward pass through Nigeria football system before he continue him development with Danish giants FC Midtjylland, where he gain valuable experience and feature for UEFA Youth League matches.
Iyede arrive with plenty experience after playing across several European countries. During him career, he don represent clubs for Denmark, Estonia, Belgium, Ukraine, Serbia and Kazakhstan.
Some of the clubs wey he don play for include Paide Linnameeskond, Fremad Amager, Lommel SK, FC Fredericia, AC Horsens, Chornomorets Odesa, Vorskla Poltava, Novi Pazar and FC Zhenis.
The Nigerian striker also get experience for European competitions after featuring in UEFA Europa League qualifying matches during him time with Estonian club Paide.
Before he join Ertis FK, Iyede spend the first half of the season with Zhenis, where he score one goal in 12 appearances.
With the arrivals of Samuel Opeh and Samson Iyede, Ertis don add experienced players for both defence and attack as dem look to continue their revival and compete strongly for the Kazakhstan Premier League.
At the moment, the club dey sit 14th position for the 16-team league table with just 10 points from 14 matches. Dem don manage only one victory this season, alongside seven draws and six defeats.
