Ashleigh Plumptre mark her return from injury in style as she score for Al-Ittihad Women during one exciting Super Falcons derby for Saudi Arabia.
The Nigerian defender start for Al-Ittihad against Al-Hilal, where Christy Ucheibe and Asisat Oshoala dey represent the Blue Waves.
Plumptre put Al-Ittihad ahead just before half-time at the King Fahd Sports City, but Oshoala and her teammates no give up.
The Blue Waves fight back with two late goals to turn the game around and secure 2-1 victory, booking their place in the Saudi Women’s Super Cup final.
For Plumptre, the goal carry special meaning because na her first appearance since February after she suffered a left-foot injury wey require surgery.
The 28-year-old miss the 2026 WAFCON with the Super Falcons because she never fully recover from the injury. She previously explained say her body no ready and she no wan take any risk with her fitness.

The French giants hammer Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 at PSG Campus Arena to qualify for the UWCL league phase after the first leg end 1-1 in Germany.
Echegini play an important role in the victory, while Super Falcons captain Ajibade come from the bench to put the final touch on the big win.
Echegini nearly open the scoring in the 15th minute, but Frankfurt goalkeeper Lina Altenburg save her effort.
Merveille Kanjinga eventually give PSG the lead in the 36th minute before Frankfurt suffer another major setback when Hayley Raso receive straight red card.
Even with one player less, Frankfurt manage to equalise through Rebecka Blomqvist in the 76th minute, sending the tie into extra time.
But PSG quickly regain control.
In the 95th minute, Kanjinga finish calmly after Echegini deliver a dangerous free-kick into the box to restore the French side’s lead.
Sakina Karchaoui then make it 3-1 in the 105th minute after she burst behind the defence before keeping her cool in front of goal.
The Red and Blues add another goal nine minutes later when Karchaoui convert a penalty won by Ajibade.
Then, with the game entering the final moments, Ajibade complete the demolition in the 120th minute.
The Super Falcons captain score her first goal of the season to seal a convincing 5-1 victory and send PSG into the UWCL league phase.
With Plumptre already back scoring, Oshoala finding the net, Ucheibe making her debut, and Ajibade and Echegini helping PSG qualify, Wednesday night once again show the quality Nigeria get among its Super Falcons stars abroad.
