During a sting operation in Enugu on May 16, 2023, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, nabbed over 21 alleged internet fraudsters.
Ndubuisi Amala, Eneje Chisom, Henry Chukwu, and Emanuel Abah are among the person being charged, along with Nwosu Nonso Paul, Onuji Chibuike Samson, Eze Chukwudi, Stanley Okoroafor, Michael Nnamchi, Henry Ozonwanji, Victor Ifesinachi Ozonwanji, Victor Ibik, Anthony Ugwu, and Michael Nnamchi.
Others include Samuel Chizitiere, Joshua Uchechukwu, Agafe Victor, Victor Abah, Jide Favour, Samson Onyedika, and Dominic Abumchukwu.
They were found to have five exotic cars, 32 cellphones, and seven personal computers among other things.
The suspect have provided helpful information and will shortly face charges in court.
Meanwhile, another set of nine (9) suspected internet fraudsters were also apprehended around Itam Police Station Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Amos Cosmos, Elijah Asuquo Ekwere, Johnny Jimmy, George Vincent, Daniel Joshua, Lambert Joshua, Otobong Emmanuel, and Enomfon Jackson Akpabio are the suspects.
They were arrested as a result of useful information regarding their alleged internet illegal activity at the mentioned place.
Mobile phones from various manufacturers are among the items found from them.
Once the investigations are complete, the suspects will be presented in court as well.
