A young man has been left with severe burns after drums of petroleum products exploded in a compound on Afrique Street, Rumuekini, Port Harcourt.
According to reports, over fifteen drums of petroleum products were stored in an uncompleted building inside a compound housing other blocks of self-contain apartments.
The huge fire did not affect other buildings and was put out by residents. The young man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Choba Police Division, local vigilante ASPAC, and NSCDC personnel were at the scene of the fire incident taking away what was left of the petroleum products.
