The newly constituted revenue committee in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers state kicked off its operation on Friday.
The committee ably led by its chairman, Mr Chijindu Dan Okere, visited the Oyigbo Ultra Modern Market to inspect the state of the structures and facilities in the market, and to restore sanity in the market.
Acting under the instructions of the Executive Chairman of Oyigbo LGA, Hon Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu, the committee drove all roadside traders to ease human and vehicular movement along the Oyigbo market road.
The Committee went further to inform the traders of the abolition of all forms of roadside trading along the market road by the Executive Chairman of Oyigbo LGA.
