The Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA have stated that its service is only limited to two Local Government Areas. RIWAMA

This clarification was made following calls from different quarters within and outside Port Harcourt, drawing the attention of the agency to waste in other parts of the state.

A statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Sole Administrator of RIWAMA, Jerry Needam, disclosed that the service will only be limited to Port Harcourt City and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas.

The statement said the agency has provided receptacles at designated points across the local government areas where it operates but is not responsible for the evacuation of wastes in Ikwerre, Eleme, Etche, Oyigbo, and other LGAs.
