Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has ordered that all impounded, accident, and unregistered exhibit vehicles be removed from police stations across the country immediately.

The way vehicles are parked within police facilities, generating a nuisance and an eye sore at police stations, he termed as unsightly and unprofessional.

According to the Forces’ headquarters in a statement, the IGP frowns at the practise of amassing vehicles retrieved from crime scenes or vehicles whose ownership is disputed or in doubt in Police premises with rigorous standards and complicated processes for the rightful owners to reclaim them.
