President Muhammadu Buhari has guaranteed that every kobo stolen from the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, will be recovered.
This comes as his administration examines the agency’s recently completed forensic audit report.
At the virtual commissioning of the NDDC prototype hostel at the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, President Buhari stated this.
He promised that those found guilty would be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
According to the President, it was regretful that the entire region’s special development fund had been spent for more than 20 years by a few individuals.
The president also ordered that all abandoned initiatives that have a direct impact on people’s livelihoods be revived and completed.
