A lecturer at the Elechi Amadi Polytechnic in Port Harcourt, who has not been identified, has arrested two female students for allegedly defrauding him of N250,000.Two female students arrested for allegedly duping lecturer in Rivers varsity

According to sources, the two female students arrested are currently detained at a police station in Port Harcourt’s GRA axis.

The lecturer, they alleged, is demanding his money back before the ladies can be released.

However, one of the females disputed the allegation in a statement, claiming that the lecturer is just punishing her for declining his marriage proposal.

The student stated that she had no financial or business relationships with the lecturer.

She further added that if she accepts the man’s proposal, he has pledged to look after her family.
