Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has appealed to Nigerians to get ready to reconfigure their own Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS).
The Labour Party Candidate stated this on Sunday evening on his officially twitter page, tagging the BVAS – “BASIC VALUES ACCEPTABLE TO SOCIETY.”
the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was given a three-day ultimatum by the Labour Party to permit the Party’s lawyers and agents to inspect the BVAS machines and other election materials, or face the Obidient movement.
Recall that the Party challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday, alleging that the electoral umpire had rearranged the BVAS machines on purpose after its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, attempted to scrutinize the voting materials.
In response to the matter, Tanko Yunusa, the spokesman of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LPPCC), also asserted that INEC had selected which court orders to abide by and which to disregard, in blatant violation of the court order authorizing the LP to inspect BVAS.
Following the expiration of the three-day deadline set by the Labour Party for INEC, Mr. Peter Obi urged Nigerians on his Twitter page to prepare for a plan B.
His full statement reads;
“As the reconfiguration of BVAS has become our watchword today, I humbly appeal to Nigerians that it’s time to Reconfigure our own BVAS “BASIC VALUES ACCEPTABLE TO SOCIETY” Have a nice Sunday and may God Almighty bless Nigeria.”
PO is telling us. It is time to enter streets ????. It's left to you now Nigerians to decide what is acceptable or not
