APC Chieftain and former CEO of Hallmark Bank, Chief Mark Wabara, has praised Governor Alex Otti for his impressive leadership in Abia State.
Wabara, a financial expert and influential politician, spoke after a closed-door meeting with Otti on January 5, 2025, expressing that both the people of Abia and Nigerians are in awe of his achievements, Hitvibz reports.
Alex Otti’s leadership impact
Chief Wabara highlighted that his long-standing relationship with Governor Otti, which dates back to their time in the banking sector, has allowed him to closely observe Otti’s effectiveness.
Both former bank CEOs, they have maintained a strong connection over the years.
Wabara, who resides in Lagos, emphasised that his visit to Abia for the holidays was an opportunity to personally acknowledge Otti’s remarkable contributions.
Wabara described Governor Otti as a dynamic and effective leader, particularly in key sectors like infrastructure, security, and education.
He expressed confidence that Otti’s leadership continues to resonate positively with the citizens of Abia, reinforcing his standing as a governor of action.
APC Chieftain’s confidence in Otti’s second term
Despite Governor Otti’s stated focus on completing his first term, Chief Wabara believes Otti’s accomplishments will inevitably lead to overwhelming support for a second term.
Wabara remarked that while Otti may not be discussing his re-election plans, his work speaks for itself.
With his achievements resonating across the state, the APC Chieftain is certain that Abians will rally behind Otti for a second term.
“Even if you are to ask His Excellency about second term, he will say that, for now, he wants to finish his first term. Like I said, his job so far speaks for itself and I have no doubt that for the second term people will support him”, Sir Wabara declared.
Wabara, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Iyanagbo Wabara, concluded that Otti’s leadership will continue to set the stage for future success in Abia State.
