The announcement was made by the Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, on Thursday, Hitvibz reports.

The video, which has garnered widespread attention, depicts EFCC officials raiding the Annex and Regional Hotels—both owned by the same individual—around 4 AM on June 27 while guests were asleep.

Reports indicate that the officers fired shots, injured customers, and made several arrests.

Hotel staff have alleged that the officials broke into rooms, assaulted both guests and workers, and stole ATM cards, money, and phones.

CCTV footage captures the officers breaking into the manager’s room, pushing and slapping her, and taking personal items from a drawer.

The EFCC statement clarified that the officers were conducting a sting operation at the Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos, which led to multiple arrests.
