In a recent communiqué issued by Obio Akpor Local Government leaders, strong condemnation was expressed concerning the recent attacks on Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, by security operatives.
They vehemently denounced the alleged undemocratic attempt by certain elements within the Rivers State House Assembly to impeach the Governor, Hitvibz report.
The leaders made it clear that their support for the Rivers State Governor remains unwavering, promising steadfast solidarity in all circumstances.
They highlighted the Governor’s commitment and asserted that he has not failed the people of Rivers State, especially Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, earning continued backing from its residents.
The leaders congratulated Sir Siminalayi Fubara on his victory at the Court of Appeal, urging detractors to cease their opposition.
They also extended congratulations to Rt Hon Edison Ehie, newly appointed Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, while strongly condemning the reported attack on him and his family by the Nigeria Police.
In a bid for professionalism, the leaders advised the Nigeria Police to maintain neutrality and uphold professionalism in all their actions.
The communiqué concluded with prayers for the Governor’s guidance and safety as he continues to strive for the betterment of the lives of the people of Rivers State.
