The Rivers State Police command has reported that four gangsters were killed in Ndele Community, Emohua Local Government Area of the state in the earlier hours of Friday.
Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka, announced this during a press conference at the Command headquarters in Port Harcourt.
CP Emeka explained that the Rumuji Police Division, in collaboration with the local vigilante, responded to a distress call regarding the gang’s activities in Ndele community.
Upon encountering the police, the gang members engaged them in a shootout, resulting in the deaths of the four gangsters.
According to CP Nwonyi, these individuals were part of the gang responsible for the attack on Mgbola Village in Ndele, where four people were killed on Tuesday.
The Police Commissioner identified the deceased gangsters as Chinumeze, who was commonly known as Nigga-Raw, Chisa Orji, Okona Okwu, and another individual who remains unidentified.
It should be noted that the bodies of the four gangsters were exhibited at the police headquarters.
