As many schools across the country resumed fully on Monday for the 2021/22 academic session, the Federal Capital Territory has recorded poor turnout of students and pupils.FCT

Schools like;

LEA Nursery and Primary school, Pasalitu, Kuje;
Government Secondary School, Pegi, Kuje
Durumi 2 Nursery and Primary School and
LEA Primary School, Chukuku

All recorded poor attendance on first day of resumption.

The FCT Education Secretariat had earlier announced that September 19th is the resumption day for students in boarding schools and Monday, September 20 for day students.

However, Hitvibz gathered that the number of students and pupils who resumed school were extremely low and discouraging.

According to Punchng, many schools in the FCT also recorded no presence of security agents, except for security guards employed in the schools.

Meanwhile, staff members of some schools visited revealed that the poor attendance was due to fear of insecurity in the area.

Adding that the attendance might likely improve as activities pick up next week.
