In order to let individuals know when their Permanent Voter Cards are available for pickup, the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC in Rivers State says it will shortly publish the names on any card that have not yet been collected.
Geraldine Ekelemu, the commission’s spokesperson in Rivers State, made this statement during a forum for political party leaders to raise awareness.
According to Geraldine Ekelemu, Permanent voter cards, PVCs, completed in 2014 and 2015 have not yet been collected in all local government areas.
She advised individuals who are yet to pick up their PVCs to do so, adding that for registrations made this year, the PVCs they will be available for collection in October.
Additionally, she mentioned that the PVCs for registrations completed between June and December of last year are available for pick up at the various LGAS and that the PVCs for registrations completed this year will be ready this month.
He urged political party leaders to let their people know about the campaign and to pick up their cards.
