Iwom Joseph, the Rivers State Covid-19 Immunization Officer, has confirmed that the covid booster doses have arrived in the state.
Mr Joseph said the vaccines arrived in the state yesterday, according to a statement released in Port Harcourt.
Pfizer vaccines were delivered to the state in the amount of 138,500 doses, whereas Modena vaccines were given to the state in the amount of 50,000 doses.
He stated that the Covid booster doses are safe and have no negative effects, and urged people who have been fully vaccinated to make themselves accessible for the vaccine in order to combat the pandemic’s fourth wave.
He also warned citizens to disregard rumours that the immunizations are dangerous to humans.
