Two suspects remanded by a magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital for beheading 9-year-old boy.
The suspects, Kenneth Sylvanus and Chijioke Ogbonna, were linked to the beheading of one Destiny Peter, a 9-year-old boy in Isiokpo, Ikwerre Local Government Area, early in November.
Sylvanus and Ogbonna are facing three counts of murder in the death of Destiny Peter, a 9-year-old boy.
The prosecutor informed the court that Kenneth Sylvanus’s statement (Kenneth, the first accused person) listed one Chibuzor Amadi as a collaborator in the case as a result of his guilty plea before the charge was read.
The prosecutor was taken aback by the fact that the police had granted him administrative bail.
Meanwhile, the chief magistrate, I. F. Iyabo, remanded the two suspects and ordered the prosecutor to work with the office of the Attorney-General to have the third suspect, Chibuzor Amadi, brought before him on the next adjourned date, which is Monday, December 6, 2021.
The Rivers State Police Command had earlier paraded the trio of Kenneth Sylvanus, Chijioke Ogbonna, and Chibuzor Amadi for allegedly perpetrating the crime.
