In a heartfelt address during the Thanksgiving Service of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State, Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, passionately called for a renewed focus on delivering good governance to the people of Abia State, particularly the less privileged.

With an unwavering commitment to addressing the untold hardships faced by the less privileged in Nigeria, Obi emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive programs and policies that prioritize health, education, and poverty alleviation.
The Thanksgiving Service, a momentous occasion in the state, served as a platform for Obi to appeal to Governor Otti, highlighting the plight of the less privileged and the significant role that the government can play in improving their lives.
“Earlier today, I was in Abia State for the Thanksgiving Service of my dear friend and brother, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Ottio. I used the opportunity to appeal to Gov Otti to focus on delivering good governance to the people of Abia State, especially the less privileged.” – he said.
He added that;
“The less privileged people in Nigeria have been subjected to many untold hardships and have suffered enough. Programs and policies focusing on health, education and pulling people out of poverty should be highly prioritised.“
With great conviction, Peter Obi expressed his hope that the less privileged would experience happiness and rejoice for a new dawn in Abia State.
He envisioned a future where every citizen, regardless of their socioeconomic background, can look forward to a better tomorrow.
“In the next 4 years, I do sincerely hope that the less privileged will be as happy as they are today, rejoicing for the new dawn in the State and looking forward to a better tomorrow.” – Peter Obi noted.
As Obi addressed the congregation, he sincerely implored Governor Otti to harness wisdom, strength, and understanding in leading the state to greater heights across all aspects of governance.

By urging a collective effort from the government, the people, and all stakeholders, he emphasized the shared responsibility in building a prosperous and equitable Abia State.
Peter Obi, however, asked God to bless the people of Abia state as they embark on this journey towards a “New Nigeria”, working collectively towards building a society that uplifts the less privileged and embraces the values of compassion, equality, and progress.
“May God give him the wisdom, strength and understanding to take the State higher in all ramifications. God bless the good people of Abia State, as we all work towards the building of the New Nigeria.” – Obi said.
