Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has expressed his dedication to maintaining the high standard of infrastructure and improving the reputation of the state.
During an inaugural dinner on May 29, 2023, Governor Fubara acknowledged the significant impact of the previous administration led by Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, which brought fame and honor to the state through various transformative projects.
He affirmed his commitment to sustaining and expanding upon the progress achieved under that administration.
Governor Fubara praised the support of the state’s leaders and elders who stood by Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike’s government and assured them of his intention to seek their assistance in advancing the state’s development.
Expressing gratitude to God for the privilege of serving as governor, Fubara pledged not to betray the trust and confidence bestowed upon him and his deputy by the state’s leaders.
He promised to undertake actions that would bring pride to the state.
According to him;
“We will continue with the development of Rivers State, not just development, but to maintain the standard quality that we are getting all round. We will also not leave any sector or leave those who were neither here nor there in their support, but we are Rivers, and I am the governor of Rivers State.”
Furthermore, Fubara spoke highly of former governor Wike, acknowledging his belief in him and his mentorship even prior to their involvement in politics.
He expressed his continued reverence for Wike and regarded him as his superior.
