Many Nigerians are now pushing for TSTV decoders after they resorted to social media to express their discontent with MultiChoice’s decision to raise the tariffs on DSTV and GOTV packages.
Earlier this week, MultiChoice Nigeria, a subsidiary of MultiChoice Africa, raised the rates of its DStv and GOtv subscriptions.
“In light of the rising costs of inflation and business operations, we have had to review the price of our packages to keep delighting our customers with great entertainment, anytime and anywhere. Therefore, from April 1, 2022, a new pricing regime for both our DStv and GOtv packages will be in effect,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Multichoice said its DStv package will now cost: Premium (N21,000), Compact + (N14,250), Compact (N9,000), Confam (N5,300), Yanga (N2,950), Padi (N2,150),
Business (N2,669), Xtraview + PVR access fee (N2,900)
The new prices for GOtv package are: Gotv Max for N4,150, GOtv Jolli for N2,800, GOtv Jinja for N1,900, GOtv Lite for N900.
Customers who pay on or before their due date (before April 1, 2022) will be allowed to pay the previous pricing, according to Multichoice.
Customers who pay on time (before their due dates) for a period of 12 months will also be eligible to pay the previous pricing.
“Customers who pay for 10 months upfront on the new price will get the 11th and 12th month free,” the company said.
The price changes, according to MultiChoice, will make it possible to improved service rendered to its customers.
Nigerians, on the other hand, are not pleased with this recent development. According to a tweet, this is the greatest time to purchase Nigerian-owned TSTV decoders where you get to pay as little as 2 Naira per station.
MultiChoice ,owners of DSTV and GOTV increases tariff . This is the best time to get Nigerian-owned TSTV decoders and pay as low as 2 Naira per station. A subscription of N1000 can last you 4 months with multiple channels. I watched the Real Madrid vs Barcelona Elclasico there.

Use TSTV. If you love football, stream online like me. Twitter football streaming links consumes less data. One need to be “stingy” in this country to survive

I never regret quitting dstv for TSTV. TSTV channels especially their movie channels are d best. Their subscription is very cheap. The last time I paid 1200 for 25 channels and I used for 2 months

Hitvibz gathered that a subscription of N1000 on TSTV can last up to 4 months with multiple channels.
If you watch Pay TV and you are frustrated of spending money on subscriptions that you can’t explain why you pay so much, you might want to give TStv Africa a try (www.tstvafrica.com).
You can choose the stations you wish to watch on TSTV, and the subscription is quite flexible. Their channels range in price from 1-3 naira each day, depending on the channel.
Example: If you select 5 channels @ 1 naira x 30 days, that will be 150 naira.
And you select another 5 channels @ 2 naira x 30 days, that will be 300 naira
Then you select 5 more channels @ 3 naira x 30 days, that will be 450 naira.
Now you have selected 15 channels for 900 naira per month. That is a very reasonable price.
Now pay attention to this section. If you want to travel after you subscribe, you can halt your subscription until you return.
