In a heartfelt message, Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has expressed his concern over rumors circulating about the potential shift in allegiances the former Governor Nyesom Wike.
During a thanksgiving reception held at his private residence in Rumueprikom, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Fubara pleaded with Wike not to distance himself, citing the presence of individuals actively seeking to harm their interests.
President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented by the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwolu, the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, and his Deputy Sen. Jubrim Barau and other dignitaries also attended the Thanksgiving service.
Recognizing Wike’s influential role, Fubara emphasized the importance of his continued guidance in steering the state toward progress.
“While indications suggest that you may be considering a different path, with many eager to see such a move, I implore you not to stray too far from me. The sharks and tigers are lurking, relentlessly seeking to undermine us,” Fubara expressed.
Remaining close to Fubara, Wike’s presence would serve as a beacon, ensuring a steadfast commitment to the state’s welfare.
Fubara acknowledged the need for Wike’s guidance and support in navigating the complex challenges facing their administration.
By standing shoulder to shoulder, Fubara and Wike can align their efforts and protect the state’s interests.
Fubara concluded by reiterating the significance of Wike’s presence in maintaining their shared vision for the state’s development.
“Being around would continue to guide and put my head straight for the purpose of this state,” Fubara told Wike.
