They expressed concern over the declining quality of graduates from unaccredited institutions, as well as the manipulation of data to allow part-time graduates to enroll for service.

The NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed, emphasized this during a meeting with the Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Abuja.

During the meeting, Ambassador Fatima Balla Abubakar, Chairman of the NYSC National Governing Board (represented by Major General BS Adetoro), urged participants to carefully assess the mobilization process and develop a robust template that ensures a flawless mobilization process.

Hajiya Isa Walida Siddique, Director of the Corps Mobilization Department, called on the Registrars to enhance their efforts in admitting qualified students and supporting them throughout their academic journey.

She emphasized that the supervision of the mobilization of graduates for National Service, in accordance with established rules and procedures, is their responsibility.

Mr. Olusade Adesola, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory, acknowledged the significant contributions of Corps Members deployed to serve within the capital territory, attributing the region’s progress to their selfless service.

He pledged to strengthen the partnership between the FCT Administration and the NYSC to ensure the successful implementation of the Scheme’s objectives.

Notable attendees at the meeting included representatives from JAMB, NUC, NBTE, the Federal Ministry of Education, and other key stakeholders.
