Opunabo Inko-Tariah, the former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Nyesom Wike, believes the riverine should be given opportunity to produce the next governor of Rivers state.
In a statement released on Monday, the Human Rights Advocate stated that it is the goal of Rivers people to see power rotate because it will give a sense of belonging to all parts of the state.
He claimed that the upland has generated the state’s governor since 1999, and that allowing the riverine to create the next governor of Rivers would be fair and just.
He believes that if an upland governor is elected in 2023, it will cause anarchy.
Opunabo further stated that the hunt for the next governor has already begun, adding that the state requires a caring leader who is attentive to the needs of the people, rather than a narcissist.
He urged the uplanders to rally behind the riverine to take over Brick House in 2023.
