Residents in Port Harcourt reportedly saved driver of an SUV on Tuesday after a 40ft container laden truck fell and crushed his vehicle.
The accident is said to have occurred in Mgbuoba, Rivers state, along the Rumuokwuta-NTA-Choba route, as the driver narrowly escaped death.
Residents banded together to ensure the safety of the motorist involved in the collision.
Hitvibz gathered that Passers-by and residents took advantage of the accident to loot cartons of sachet and tin tomatoes the container was carrying.
Meanwhile, according to eyewitnesses, the 40ft container toppled on the vehicle while it was being hauled off the road.
He added that the man was rescued from the smashed car and brought to a nearby hospital after a forklift arrived on the scene and pulled the container away from the car.
He went on to call the man’s survival a miracle, saying that people seldom survive accidents like this.
