Rivers: Stranded Residents Of Demolished Waterfronts Call For Compensation

As the Rivers State Government dispatched roughly 50 police officers to demolish structures at the lloabuchi waterfronts in Port Harcourt, sadness, pain, and tears were the order of the day.

Hitvibz gathered that the demolition is taking place under tight security.

Residents of the Waterfront Communities, which were demolished along Iloabuchi Street in Diobu, are pleading with the State Government to either find new housing or pay them.

This was stated by residents while speaking with news reporters.

Elechi, Nanka, Abba, Urualla, Egede, and Okuozor are among the Waterfront Communities affected.
