Honourable Ezebunwo Ichemati, Chairman of the Caretaker Committee and Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, has vowed to support talented individuals within the region.
Speaking during a visit from the Great Minds Sound musical group, Ichemati emphasised his administration’s dedication to helping residents realise their full potential, Hitvibz reports.
The Mayor addressed the members of Great Minds Sound, led by Comrade Richman Okparanma, during a meeting at his office on Tuesday afternoon.
He outlined his plans to provide substantial support for both inborn talents and trained skills, with the aim of enabling individuals to harness their abilities fully.
Ichemati highlighted the importance of this initiative in promoting financial independence, reducing dependency, and curbing crime in the community.
“I am committed to serving humanity with the opportunity given to me,” Ichemati stated.
He expressed gratitude to the musical group for their visit and assured them of his unwavering support.
He also extended his appreciation to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, for the trust placed in him to lead the administration of Port Harcourt City.
The visit by Great Minds Sound was not only a congratulatory gesture but also to celebrate the Mayor’s hard-earned appointment.
Comrade Richman Okparanma lauded Ichemati’s dedication and acknowledged the recognition of hard work by His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of a portrait of the Mayor by the musical group, symbolising their respect and support for his leadership.
