A Prophetess identified as Edina Loverly-Worleru has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Rivers state.
A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital, sentenced the Prophetess and Onyema Bright-Worlu for causing the death of one Israel Georgewill in 2012.
Hitvibz gathered that the prophetess along side a spiritual Church in Rumuche in Emohua Local Government Area reportedly prepared a love portion for Onyema, to be administered on her male friend, late Georgewill who was a Prophet in another spiritual Church within the community.
According to Onyema, she administered the love portion to her male friend to get financial assistance from him but didn’t know it will lead to his death.
The judge, after considering all the facts presented by the parties and the relevant laws of administration in the State criminal code, found the two women guilty of manslaughter.
Onyaema Bright Worlu and Edina Lovely-Worelu were later convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment without an option of fine.
