This temporary disruption is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The purpose of this outage is to enhance the electricity distribution infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted power supply in the affected areas.

During the maintenance period, several parts of Port Harcourt will experience the power outage.

The areas expected to be affected include PH Township, Borokiri, Diobu, Elioparanwo, Old GRA, Abuloma, Rumuodonmanya, Eliozu, Rumudara, Rukpokwu, Choba, Rumuolumini, Igwuruta, D/line, Orazi, Eagle Island, Agip Estate, and parts of Ada Georgea.

PHED management has assured customers that once the maintenance work is successfully completed, normal power supply will be promptly restored.

The technical team is working diligently to minimize the duration of the outage and ensure that the maintenance activities are executed efficiently.

In an official statement released on Friday, PHED expressed its commitment to providing reliable electricity services to its esteemed customers.

Dear Esteemed Customer, Kindly be informed that there will be a planned outage on 132kv Afam/Phmain Lines 2 on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm to enable our technical team to carry out some maintenance works. Areas that will be affected during the outage include Port Harcourt township, Borokiri, Diobu axis, Elioparanwo, Old GRA, Abuloma, Rumuodomanya, Eliozu, Rumudara, Rukpokwu, Choba, Rumuolumini, Igwuruta, D/line, Orazi, Eagle Island, Agip Estate, part of Ada George, and Mboshimini. Customers are assured that once the work is successfully completed, power supply will be restored. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you.”

The PHED strongly advises residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements to minimize any inconvenience caused by the temporary power outage.
