The police officer who was shown in a viral video assaulting an individuals along Emohua Road in Rivers State has been demoted by the Nigerian Police Force.
In response to complaints and information from the widely shared video on social media, the policeman, Adejoh Siaka, had his rank reduced from Inspector to Sergeant.
Siaka’s demotion, according to a statement from Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi on Tuesday, came after an orderly room trial.

According to him, Siaka was punished for his assault, dishonorable behavior, and rudeness toward the general public.
According to the statement, Sergeant Ndiwa Kpuebari, a second officer who was on the scene but failed to stop the improper behavior, was reprimanded.
Inspector Friday Obaka, a third officer who was later found to have been away from the scene, was exonerated.
To continue their police work, the three officers will now be transferred from Rivers State to different Commands and Formations.
