David Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State, says he is not worried about a recent court judgement that dismissed his administration.
After a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, the Governor responded to queries from State House media.
He maintained that, aside from the fact that he is immune from prosecution as an elected governor, votes obtained during an election belong to the candidate, not a political party.
Governor Umahi further argued that he cannot be sued because there is no constitutional provision allowing for the prosecution of a governor.
He claimed that God orchestrated the event in order for him to have more time to think about his presidential ambitions.
